THE LORD’S ARMY OF WOMEN

THE LORD’S ARMY OF WOMEN

First Work

This project was born in January 2022, when a group of women eager to get closer to God decided to enter the Daniel fast (without animal products), then the fellowship continued the following year when other women joined us. This is how we gathered dozens of women from different corners of the world, from several denominations: Orthodox, Pentecostal, Baptist, Christians according to the gospel, from free churches – together they serve in fasting and prayer for themselves, their families, the churches they belong to, the region where they live, the country, etc.

Starting with February 2023, we are in a black fast or black fast with only water uninterrupted. Since this month, this chain of fasting has not stopped, but daily at 6:00 PM the fasting guard changes. This involves that before the 24-hour fast is over, the next person scheduled to join calls the one who is fasting, they pray together, and they hand over their guard for the next day. Each day, one woman fasts and the others support her in prayer for the reasons she has brought before the Lord. After the woman who is fasting announces her personal reasons specific to the group, the other women pray for her reasons, encourage her with messages of support, Bible verses, and revelations.

Why join such a group?

We read the Bible primarily not for information, but for our transformation.

Spiritual Strengthening:

Fasting and prayer help you deepen your relationship with God and strengthen your faith.

Community:

Meet women with similar values and build authentic relationships.

Emotional Support:

Sharing experiences and challenges can help you feel less alone.

Spiritual Growth:

Through Bible study, the discipline of fasting, prayer, and other spiritual activities, it will help you grow in your personal relationship with God and others.

How does a group meeting work?

It is not enough to read a passage of Scripture daily. It is important to understand what you are reading.

Prayer:

Individual and group prayers, for specific needs and for the community.

Bible Study:

Exploring a specific biblical passage, with practical applications for daily life.

Testimonies:

Sharing personal experiences and how God has worked in each person's life.

Daily Activities:

1. The responsibility to pray for the person who is fasting.

2. The responsibility to encourage the woman who is fasting.

Weekly Activities:

1. Monday evening is Zoom day, where we share what God has spoken to us through the Word, pray for each other, and testify of the Lord's works.

2. Each member of the group is introduced to a small group for support, encouragement, and prayer. The small groups meet weekly on a mutually agreed-upon day.

Occasional Activities:

1. We created events for a weekend where group members had the opportunity to meet physically, to get to know each other better.

DONATE

“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food” will also supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness. In this way, you will be enriched in every way for every generosity, which through us will cause thanksgiving to God.”
2 Corinthians 9:10-11
